Margaret Caruvana has provided individualized and targeted PILATES instruction that has absolutely transformed my body and my mind. 2014 was a challenging year, between work, family and friends I let my tiredness (and perhaps even a bit of laziness) cut into my workout routine.  It had gotten so bad that after a few days off during the Holidays, I couldn't fit into any of my work pants!  That's when I said enough is enough and joined the Retro gym in Hackensack, NJ.  It was there that I met Margaret, my ray of sunshine and guiding light.  Together, we put in place a 2x/week, and when possible 3x/week Pilates schedule, which I stuck to for over two years.


After the first six months my body had transformed - my belly was flatter and my butt was lifted.  After we discussed my eating habits, I knew that with a little work there I could get back to my pre-college self.  Margaret shared how she preps for meals, how she handles cravings and what food groups she focuses on to keep in shape.  Three months after that the compliments were flying.


I feel more confident and energetic now than I have in years.  This journey of changing my lifestyle wouldn't have been possible without Margaret's help.  I am forever grateful for her positive attitude and friendship.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed Margaret Caruvana's one on one Pilates instruction.  When I first came to Margaret, I was overweight and achy.  After about four weeks of sessions with her, I saw my flexibility begin to improve and my waist and thighs begin to shrink.  I felt much more energized during the day and noticed I slept better at night.  I would highly recommend her.  She brings the knowledge and expertise needed to be a great instructor.
